TORONTO – Newstalk 1010 CFRB has announced that all four Ontario political party leaders will host their own one-hour talk show on CFRB and simulcast on CKTB in St. Catharines and CJBK in London.
Liberal Leader Dalton McGuinty, PC Leader John Tory, NDP Leader Howard Hampton and Green Party Leader Frank de Jong will each host a talk show on different days from noon to one p.m., and take calls from listeners in Toronto, across Niagara
and London.
The Green Party’s Frank de Jong will be the first to appear, on Thursday, Sept. 27. On Wednesday, Oct. 3, it will be the turn of the NDP’s Howard Hampton, followed by PC leader John Tory on Monday, Oct. 8, and Liberal leader Dalton McGuinty on Tuesday, Oct. 9.
This is a first for Standard Radio stations in Ontario to have the four main political leaders host their own show rather than appear with a host to be interviewed.
“We picked the noon hour because we believe listeners will take the time during their lunch break to hear what each of the provincial party leaders have to say,” said Newstalk 1010 CFRB Operations Manager Steve Kowch.
The shows can also be heard on line at www.cfrb.com, www.610cktb.com, www.cjbk.com, and on Rogers Digital Channel 960.
