OneSoccer to air live coverage of two celebration tour matches

Canada’s women’s national team will play Nigeria’s Super Falcons

TORONTO – Mediapro Canada announced today OneSoccer, its dedicated soccer channel, will air live coverage of Canada Soccer’s women’s national team playing a series of two friendly matches against Nigeria’s Super Falcons.

The first match will take place at BC Place in Vancouver, tonight at 7:30 p.m., and the second will take place at Starlight Stadium in Victoria on Monday April 11 at 7:30 p.m.

The series is part of the celebration tour launched by Canada Soccer in 2021 to commemorate the Canadian women’s victory at the 2020 Olympic Games and represents “the first time that the Canadian women have played in BC since November 2017 – as well as the first time that local hero Christine Sinclair will play in front of a passionate home crowd since becoming the leading international scorer among both women and men in February 2020,” a press release explains.

There will be comprehensive studio coverage of both matches, hosted by Andi Petrillo. Coverage will also feature expert analysis from Kaylyn Kyle, a former member of Canada’s national team, as well as from journalist Laura Armstrong during the first match and OneSoccer pundit Oliver Platt during the second match.

Soccer reporter, coach and player Katie Hamilton will report from the sidelines for both games.

Adam Jenkins will provide English-language commentary for both matches. He will be accompanied by Kyle for the first match and Eva Havaris, former U Sports soccer MVP for the second match. Matt Cullen will call both games in French.

OneSoccer is available on connected devices as well as on Telus’ Optik TV and on fuboTV.
