
TORONTO — Mediapro Canada announced today its dedicated soccer streaming service OneSoccer will broadcast exclusive live coverage of the Canadian Championship semi-finals, featuring two matchups between Canadian Premier League (CPL) and Major League Soccer (MLS) teams battling for spots in the final and a chance to win the coveted Voyageurs Cup (above).
The first semi-final between reigning CPL champion Forge FC of Hamilton, Ont., and current Canadian Champion CF Montréal of the MLS will take place Oct. 27 at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton. Mediapro Canada will be onsite to produce live coverage for broadcast on OneSoccer and on Fox Sports 2 in the U.S. The game airs at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT.
The second semi-final takes place Nov. 3 at BMO Field in Toronto where seven-time Canadian Champion Toronto FC of the MLS will take on CPL team Pacific FC of Langford, B.C. The match will air at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT on OneSoccer in Canada and Fox Soccer Plus in the U.S.
OneSoccer is available in Canada as a linear channel on Telus’s Optik TV (channel 980), online at OneSoccer.ca, through the OneSoccer app and on the streaming service fuboTV Canada.
Coverage of the Canadian Championship semi-finals will be produced “using Mediapro Canada’s 4K/HD Outside Broadcast unit Odyssey and a minimum of nine cameras including one Super Slo-Mo camera. The OneSoccer studio panel hosted by award-winning broadcaster Andi Petrillo and featuring pundits Oliver Platt and Gareth Wheeler will offer expert analysis and insight for both matches,” reads a press release.
