OmniGlobe to launch Ka-Band FSS satellite over Canada

MONTREAL - Canadian telecommunications company OmniGlobe is planning to launch its first Ka-Band fixed satellite service over Canada in 2013.The geostationary communications satellite will be optimized for the Canadian market and will provide Ka Band capacity across the country, the company said in a press release.  The multiple beams satellite will be specifically designed to facilitate the delivery of services such as broadband Internet, VoIP, virtual private networks, videoconferencing, cellular telephony, and telemedicine.
