GUELPH, ON – Broadband telecommunications engineer Karl Poirier passed away Friday at the age of 67, the SCTE announced Wednesday. LinkedIn photo Poirier, who was a part of the original SCTE Ontario Chapter in the 1970’s, also played a key role in re-establishing the chapter. He was also a member of the SCTE standards commitees for many years, and was the association’s first Canadian director-at-large.
