OBITUARY: Cable veteran Carl Newton

TORONTO - Newton Cable founder Carl Newton was laid to rest in Toronto earlier this week after his passing on September 15.Newton was the owner operator of Willowdowns Cable, founded in the late 1960s, which was subsequently rebranded as Newton Cable.  The system served approximately 10,000 subscribers in northwestern Toronto before being purchased by Rogers Cable in 1992.His obituary is available here.
