ONTARIO – The Ontario Association of Broadcasters (OAB) invited its member stations today to nominate their best station and staff work for consideration for the organization’s award ceremony, to be held at its annual conference Connection 2021 on Nov. 4.
There are four categories of awards – best in class sales, creative, community service campaign(s) and promotion.
The best in class sales award “will recognize an individual salesperson who shows their ability to recognize and speak to the needs, wants and wishes of a new client with a successful radio campaign,” according to a press release. The creative award will go “to the writer/producer who creates the best 30 or 60 radio ad that inspires action, evokes emotion and produces results for the client.” The community service campaign(s) award will be presented to a “station for outstanding contribution to worthwhile organizations in its community,” and the promotion award “will be awarded to the station that best promotes itself,” the press release reads.
“Winning campaigns will have online components, be multi-faceted and focused. Entries must have run on an Ontario member station between 2019/20-2020/2021 Broadcast Calendars.”
Entries must be submitted by Friday, Oct. 8.
