TORONTO – Fresh off of its fall conference last week, the Ontario Association of Broadcasters unveiled its 2017 award winners.

Best In Class Sales Award

– Small Market winner: Karen Hopkins, Larche Communications

– Large Market winner: Cheryl Foster, boom 97.3

 

Community Service Award

– Small Market winner: Radio for Oncology, The Dock 92.3

– Large Market winner: April Foods Day, Q107, 102.1 The Edge and Talk Radio AM640

 

Creative Award

– Small Market winner: Vista Radio – writer: Brad Tasker and producer: AJ Junop

– Large Market winner: The New Classical FM – writer: Larry MacInnis and producer: Kelly Robotham

 

Station Promotion Award

– Small Market winner: Wall of Hits, 95.5 HitsFM

– Large Market winner: Mixtape of You, boom 97.3

Closing the Luncheon was a special video presentation honouring the late Gary Miles for his Ontario Hall of Fame Award, which was accepted by Vista Radio Group president Geoff Poulton, and Canadian Traffic Network president Lannie Sibian.
