TORONTO – The Ontario Association of Broadcasters (OAB) announced yesterday panelists for the conference’s Power of Radio News panel.
Ward Smith, senior vice-president of Global News, will moderate the panel, which features participants including Wendy Gray, director of news at Vista Radio Ltd., Briana Carnegie, news manager at Global News Radio 640 Toronto and Dan Blakeley, news director at Rock 95 Barrie 360 Kool FM.
“They will discuss the power of news, the importance of stations’ online presence, the right talent and the value of trustworthy news for Canadians,” a press release says.
“The power of radio navigating the day’s events and doing something only local radio can do in a world of choice: provide immediate, reliable information about your local community.”
The Power of Radio News panel will take place Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. EST.
Connection 2021 is being held virtually Nov. 3-4.
