Novus extends open access network from Vancouver to Richmond

VANCOUVER - Novus Entertainment's unique fibre optic cable network now stretches from Metro Vancouver through to nearby Richmond.Thanks to a partnership with InTransitBC, operator of the Canada Line, the 288 count fibre-optic cable runs alongside the rapid transit system between Waterfront Station in Vancouver and Brighouse Station in Richmond.While the independent BDU will use a portion of the fibres to deliver its own cable TV, Internet and digital phone services, the balance of the fibres will be available to other communications service providers and to businesses for lease or for sale.“This is an important step forward for providing broadband access in Canada”, said...
