North Frontenac Township to build local broadband infrastructure

PLEVNA, ON - The Township of North Frontenac will increase its existing wireless service coverage and accelerate the delivery of high-speed Internet through a partnership with OmniGlobe Networks.Located approximately 100 km southwest of Ottawa in Eastern Ontario, the community awarded a network expansion contract to Montreal-based OmniGlobe, which will own and operate a fixed wireless network to providing additional coverage in previously under-served areas of the region.The fixed wireless network will expand on existing infrastructure that Omniglobe, in conjunction with Utilities Kingston, deployed in 2007 to provide service in the hamlets of Plevna, Cloyne, Godfrey and Mountain Grove.
