Nortel brings in top IBM marketer

TORONTO – Saying she brings a "depth of experience in driving turn-around marketing programs to ignite business, excite customers and grow company footprints around the world," Nortel Networks hired Lauren Flaherty as its chief marketing officer. Effective May 1, 2006, Flaherty will have overall responsibility for Nortel's global marketing strategy, brand development and advertising, and the corporation's internal and external communications.
