Noovo unveils upcoming slate of programming


MONTREAL — Bell Media’s French-language Noovo channel announced today its fall schedule and premiere dates, which includes several new series and returning shows.

Noovo also announced its upcoming slate of new series that will premiere in winter 2022.

On Sunday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. ET, Noovo will air the 90-minute special La fête de la rentrée, featuring Julie Snyder, Phil Roy, Marie-Lyne Joncas, Antoine Vézina, Arnaud Soly and Katherine Levac.

New series Qui sait chanter?, a French adaptation of the I Can See Your Voice format, will debut on Monday, Sept. 13 at 8 p.m. ET. The show is hosted by Phil Roy and features regular panelists Rita Baga and Roxane Bruneau.

The new drama series Virage is set to premiere on Noovo on Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. ET. “Loosely inspired by the life of Marianne St-Gelais and several Olympians, the series features the story of a triple Olympic medalist in short track speed skating who sees her life turned upside down after her retirement,” reads an English translation of Noovo’s press release.

Another new series, Club Soly, will premiere Monday, Sept. 13 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Hosted by comedian Arnaud Soly, this series revisits the news and current events through sketch comedy and features Julien Corriveau, Katherine Levac, Virginie Fortin, Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais, Richardson Zéphir and Anas Hassouna.

Also new is …Moi non plus!, a dramatic comedy starring Catherine-Anne Toupin and Vincent Leclerc, which will premiere Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Returning to Noovo this fall is season three of La semaine des 4 Julie, which airs Monday to Thursday at 9 p.m., starting Sept. 13. The talk show hosted by Julie Snyder “will offer surprising moments, striking encounters and memorable performances,” says the English translation of the press release.

Entre deux draps will also return this fall, with season two premiering Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 7:30 p.m. ET, while season three of Max et Livia will debut Thursday, Sept. 16 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
