MONTRÉAL — Bell Media announced today a new 12-episode podcast series, Elles sont (They Are), which is available now on Noovo Moi and iHeart Radio.
Led by Quebec singer and actress Mélissa Bédard (above, M’entends-tu?/Can You Hear Me?), the podcast is “born from a need for affirmation” and “gives voice to inspiring women with atypical life paths and paths marked by the weight of difference,” reads an English translation of Bell Media’s French press release.
“To open the dialogue and develop tolerance and empathy, Mélissa Bédard gives voice to these women who have agreed to tell their story in complete confidence and in complete privacy,” the English translation says.
Some of subjects discussed in the podcast episodes include infidelity and toxic relationships, eating disorders, mental health, sex workers, religion, motherhood, trans identity, body diversity, libido and polyamory.
The podcast series Elles sont is produced by Casadel Films in collaboration with Bell Media. The series is directed by Denis Martel and is based on an original idea by Carolyn Arsenault and Catherine Robert.
All 12 episodes are available to listen to now on Noovo Moi and iHeart Radio. Starting Feb. 8, the podcast will be available on other platforms including Spotify, Apple and Google Podcast.
