Noovo.ca’s Chez Marcus features Quebec hairdresser to the stars

MONTREAL — Bell Media announced today a new series, Chez Marcus, featuring one of Quebec’s most renowned and sought-after hairdressers, Marcus Villeneuve (above), is streaming now on Noovo.ca.

The hairdresser to the stars “takes care of many famous heads: Marilou, Véronique Cloutier and Lara Fabian to name a few,” reads an English-translated press release.

The seven-part series, featuring 22-minute episodes, offers “privileged access” to Villeneuve’s professional and personal life, including the opening of his new eponymous salon in Quebec City and his many other projects, says the release.

“Thanks to his determination, his resilience and several decisive encounters, the entrepreneur was able to find his way despite the magnitude of the challenges. From his beginnings in Saguenay to television sets, the series will highlight a turning point in his career: his passage in front of the cameras,” the release says.

“I feel that in recent years, my life has been a rolling fire. The more I throw myself into crazy projects, the more likely I am to fail. But I am so well surrounded that I succeed, I believe, in making lemonade with all these lemons! I am very happy to (finally!) share this series with the public,” Villeneuve says in the English translation.

Chez Marcus was produced by Productions ToRoS in collaboration with Bell Media.

Four episodes of the series are available now on Noovo.ca. The remaining three episodes will debut Nov. 10.
