Nomination deadline extended for Canadian music and broadcast awards

TORONTO – Canadian Music Week has extended its nomination deadline for the Canadian music and broadcast industry awards until midnight on January 7, 2009. The awards recognize “industry trailblazers and outstanding professionals” in more than 30 categories, and will be handed out at a gala ceremony on March 12 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto. The media and music conference will also feature over 75 panels with more than 360 industry experts.
