CHICAGO — Canadian users of Google Home and Amazon Echo Dot will be able to unplug and enjoy portability with their smart assistant devices thanks to Ninety7’s announcement on Tuesday that its portable battery base accessories are now available in Canada through London Drugs and Rogers.
Ninety7’s LOFT portable battery base for Google Home is being sold by both London Drugs and Rogers in their stores, while the company’s VAUX and DOX battery base accessories for Amazon Echo Dot are also being sold on London Drugs’ website. The retail price for LOFT is $59.99, while VAUX and DOX retail for $64.99 and $39.99, respectively.
The LOFT portable battery base for Google Home allows users to take their Google assistant anywhere in the home. Providing up to eight hours of battery life, LOFT’s base seamlessly connects to Google Home via magnets and is designed with a stylish metal finish that comes in carbon black, snow white and copper.
VAUX is the first battery-powered speaker designed specifically to house the Amazon Echo Dot, providing six hours of unplugged use for consumers to enjoy Alexa anywhere in the home environment. Users simply pop their Dot into the top of the VAUX and plug in the internal connectors. VAUX comes in two colours, carbon and ash.
Finally, the DOX for Amazon Echo Dot features a lithium-ion rechargeable battery that provides up to 10 hours of unplugged use. Four LED lights on the front of the DOX indicate how much power remains before needing another charge; to recharge, the user simply places the DOX on its accompanying charging base for convenient ease of use. DOX is also available in carbon and ash colours.
