TORONTO – NHL Network is offering a month-long free preview to kick off its 2007/08 NHL national broadcast line-up.
The free preview period begins Sunday, Sept. 30 with the live broadcast, exclusive in Canada, of Game 2 of the season from London, England at 12 noon ET, featuring the defending Stanley Cup champion Anaheim Ducks and the Los Angeles Kings.
Paul Romanuk and NHL Network’s Gary Green will call the game, providing play-by-play and analysis, respectively, while Dan Pollard hosts the studio show alongside analyst Larry Murphy.
In total, NHL Network will carry 40 games, all involving U.S.-based teams, including six with Pens’ superstar Sidney Crosby, seven featuring the Cup champions, 14 Monday night games, and three doubleheaders. Other highlights include a contest for a trip for 16 to the NHL All-Star Weekend in Atlanta.
This season also marks the return of Fan Favourite games, giving viewers the opportunity to choose which game will be broadcast on NHL Network on five separate occasions.
Starting with the Los Angeles/Anaheim game, viewers will be able to watch NHL Network on participating digital television providers at no extra charge until October 31.

Additional NHL Network programming includes live NCAA hockey, action from the American Hockey League and ECHL, as well as international and amateur hockey, player profiles, interview shows and youth-oriented programs.
