
The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) has entered into a new collective agreement with the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC), having received approval last week from the Governor General in Council on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage.
The new NFB-PIPSC agreement is retroactive to July 1, 2022 and will expire June 30, 2026. The previous four-year agreement expired June 30, 2022.
The agreement covers all employees of the NFB in the Administrative and Foreign Service Category and the Scientific and Professional Category.
The terms of the new agreement include wage increases of 3.5 per cent from July 1, 2022, three per cent from July 1, 2023, two per cent from July 1, 2024 and two per cent from July 1, 2025.
The NFB’s new collective agreement with the Syndicat général du cinéma et de la télévision, 234 (Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 4835) has also been approved by the Governor in Council.
The new four-year NFB-SGCT collective agreement is also retroactive to July 1, 2022, will expire June 30, 2026, and includes wage increases of 3.5 per cent for the first year, three per cent in the second year, and two per cent in the third and fourth years.
This agreement covers all employees of the NFB in the Technical Category, the Administrative Support Category and the Operational Category.
