TORONTO — As part of its global expansion plans, Nextologies Limited announced it has hired Fernando Aunon (pictured) as regional vice-president of its US operations.
Based out of Lewes, Delaware, Aunon brings more than 30 years of sales and business development experience from a wide variety of media and entertainment companies, Nextologies said in a news release.
Aunon was previously regional vice-president of sales for LTN Global Communications, where he spent the last six years successfully handling LTN’s US broadcast station groups and government entities, Nextologies said.
“I am very excited to be joining an established industry leader in custom end-to-end video broadcast services,” Aunon said in the news release. “Nextologies’ cutting-edge technology and out-of-the-box thinking has disrupted traditional broadcasting methodologies, making the company the fastest growing threat to many of its competitors. It has quickly become the largest-smallest company you’ve most likely never heard of!”
Nextologies CEO Sasha Zivanovic was quoted as saying: “We are seeing tremendous demand for Nextologies’ services in the USA. We are thrilled to have Fernando join our team to assist with this growth. His broadcasting relationships and background in foreign and domestic distribution and contribution markets will be a tremendous asset moving forward.”
Nextologies operates multiple teleport and data centres around the world. Providing fibre, IP and satellite transmission services for broadcasters, Nextologies is an industry leader in signal acquisition and delivery. The company specializes in high-quality broadcast-grade video connectivity and says it is currently the only solutions provider that can give instant access to more than 55,000 linear TV channels, downlinked from more than 75 satellites strategically placed around the globe. Nextologies says not only does it have the world’s largest broadcast video delivery network, it also provides custom end-to-end services to meet all other broadcasting needs, including custom IPTV and OTT platforms, in addition to video-centric applications across all platforms.
