NewsTalk 1010 drops call letters, shakes up hosts

TORONTO – Astral radio station NewsTalk 1010 CFRB is tweaking its name and programming in time for the new broadcast season.Effective October 5, the station will be known simply as NewsTalk 1010, dropping its historic call letters. The station has also signed John Tory to host its new ‘Live Drive’ show from 4 – 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, and has moved popular host Bill Carroll to the 9 – 1 p.m. slot in preparation for his syndicated show which will air nationally later this year.
