LONDON – A-Channel London has confirmed that News at 6 anchor Kathy Mueller is leaving the station to pursue other initiatives overseas. Mueller has been with the station for 13 years and has co-anchored the News at 6 since 2002.
Mueller leaves A-Channel London to pursue one of her true passions – helping those in need. She has accepted a job working for the Canadian Red Cross in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, where she is participating in a project to build 5,000 homes to replace those destroyed by the tsunami in December 2004.
During her tenure at A-Channel London (CFPL-TV), Mueller worked as a writer, videographer and crime reporter before becoming co-anchor, along with Dan MacLellan, of the News at 6, the region’s highest-rated newscast.
Her last day at A-Channel London will be August 19, 2008.
