MONTREAL – Bell Media announced today a new show Copilote pour l’été (Co-pilot for the Summer) is coming to Rouge FM Monday to Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., beginning June 20.
The show will be hosted by Michel Charette (above, left) and Jessica Barker (right). This is Charette’s first major experience as the host of a radio show while Barker, whose documentary Maman, pourquoi tu pleures? (Mom, Why Are You Crying?) is on Crave right now, is a regular collaborator on the show La Gang du Marin (The Sailor’s Gang) at 107.3 Rouge, a French language press release explains.
“What a great opportunity for Jessica and me to accompany people this summer to Rouge FM. I accepted this new challenge because Rouge gave me the freedom and tools to make the show that tempted me,” said Charette, in the English translation of the release. “We want to offer listeners an entertaining, intelligent, sensitive, touching and humorous show! Looking forward to seeing you on Rouge on June 20 for the return home!”
“It is with joy that I meet my friend Michel for nine weeks of happiness at the microphone of Rouge,” said Barker. “We hoped to meet him and me and it’s Rouge who offers us this great opportunity for the summer!”
“What a pure joy to welcome Michel and Jessica into the Rouge FM family! We are proud to be able to count on their immense talent and incomparable complicity this summer to accompany Rouge FM listeners across Quebec,” said Chloé Boissonnault, executive director, French-language Radio at Bell Media.
Further details about the show will be announced later.
