New Nelvana, Discovery Communications venture redknot readies first two kids series

TORONTO – The new kids production joint venture between Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana and Discovery Inc. will be known as redknot, and has greenlit its first two new animated series.redknot is named after the shorebird that travels between South America and Canada, among other parts of the globe. The name also includes the initials of Discovery Kids (DK), Discovery´s pay TV network for preschoolers in Latin America, and Nelvana (N), Canada’s kids content producer.
