New mobile payment options geared to small businesses, self-employed workers

MONTREAL - Small businesses, self-employed workers, seasonal workers and merchants on-the-go now have a secure way to accept debit and credit card payments after Desjardins Group unveiled two new mobile payment solutions Wednesday.Monetico Mobile and Monetico Mobile + use a keypad the size of a small calculator connected via Bluetooth to an Android (Google) or iOS (Apple) smartphone or tablet loaded with the Monetico Mobile app. The merchant enters the amount of the transaction on their smartphone or tablet and passes the keypad to the customer.
