HAMILTON – This Week Live, a new, late night show meant to be a “satirical, hour-long show focused on shedding a humorous light on what dominates the news cycle locally, and internationally,” will hit the airwaves tonight (technically Friday) at 12:30 a.m.

“The show strives to provide a Canadian perspective on politics, news and entertainment in a format we see from our Southern neighbours,” said show creator, owner and star, Michael Bratch (pictured). “Late night television in our nation is dominated with the U.S. world view, and we’re aiming to change that in a fun and engaging manner.”

Shot at the CHCH studios, the show will look like a normal talk show with a monologue and guests, is entirely funded by Bratch, an entrepreneur, former ad exec, real estate agent and performer. The writing and production team from Satirical Productions include director Wayne Moss (Royal Canadian Air Farce), segment producer Dale Roossien and producer Jarrod Stark, a veteran of Toronto’s premier comedy community, Second City.
