New ichannel series tackles serious issues with comedy

TORONTO – Stornoway Communications-owned ichannel debuted a new online current affairs series Tuesday that uses comedy and documentary content to take on big issues. Inside Joke, a 13-part web and television series from the team behind ichannel’s No Kidding, uses comedy as the jumping-off point for compelling, in-depth examination of timely social issues.  Each half-hour webisode combines stand-up comedy routines, documentary content and roundtable conversation with Canadian comedians to address issues ranging from terrorism to pornography.
