
TORONTO — Bell Media announced today a new eight-part original documentary series, This Is Pop, which delves into some of the biggest moments in pop music history over the past seven decades, will premiere on CTV on Saturday, March 6 at 10 p.m.
Produced by Banger Films, the CTV original series features exclusive interviews with some of the biggest names in music, including Shania Twain, Boyz II Men and T-Pain, and explores their impact on the industry and pop culture.
“At a time where the world is constantly changing, This Is Pop offers a dynamic escape for viewers to relive and commemorate some of the most celebrated decades in music history,” said Karine Moses, senior vice-president of content development and news at Bell Media, in a press release.
Each 60-minute episode is directed by an award-winning Canadian filmmaker, such as Jared Raab, Simon Ennis and Lisa Rideout. For Banger Films, Sam Dunn and Scot McFadyen are executive producers and Amanda Burt is series producer.
This Is Pop is also available, on CTV.ca and the CTV app.
