TORONTO – Citytv has launched a new video app for the Apple iPhone and iPod touch which will allow viewers to watch its programming live and on demand while on the go.
In addition to Breakfast Television Toronto, CityLine and select primetime content, the Citytv iPhone app includes features such as a TV schedule, notification service that reminds users when their favourite shows are available on the app and television, and a functionality that saves users’ viewing history and favourites. It also allows users to share video links on Facebook, Twitter and via email.
“Citytv continues to remain at the forefront of innovative digital content. The new app for iPhone offers the same great user experience as our popular iPad app,” said Andrea Gagliardi, senior director and GM of broadcasting, digital, in Thursday’s announcement. “This new app demonstrates our ongoing commitment to deliver unique, entertaining and informative content to our viewers anytime and anywhere on multiple devices.”
