MONTREAL — Bell Media’s Canal Vie announced today a new documentary series Amour sans limite (Love Without Limit) that sheds light on the obstacles experienced by disabled singles as they seek romance.
The docuseries consists of 10, 30-minute episodes and will premiere on Canal Vie this fall.
“Whether they are blind, whether they live with an autism spectrum disorder or a malformation, these people all have one thing in common: they are looking for love,” reads an English translation of Bell Media’s French press release.
Supported by matchmakers Vanessa, Émilie and Darlène from the agency Rencontre Adaptée, the singles “navigate the unpredictable and sometimes ruthless world of dating,” the release says.
“Every day, the three women work to provide dating opportunities for their agency’s clients. Throughout the different stages of the journey of our singles, despite possible disappointments, learning, excitement, and above all hope are always there.”
“With this novelty, Canal Vie is pursuing its objective of presenting different realities that fit perfectly with the values of inclusion and authenticity of its audience. Amour sans limite is a series that opens up to others,” said Suzane Landry, vice-president of content development, programming and information at Bell Media, in the English translation of the release.
Amour sans limite is produced by Urbania in collaboration with Bell Media. Maude Sabbagh is handling the production and script.
