KELOWNA. B.C. – May 17th and 18th, 2006 will see the launch of the Canadian Communications & Technology Trade Show & Seminars.
The show will build on the success of the Technology and Outside Plant show that Telonix initiated and hosted in B.C. this past spring – which sold-out to vendors in a matter of days.
This much anticipated new, two-day event will take place at the Coast Capri Hotel in Kelowna, B.C.. “The full hotel and its facilities have been reserved due to the anticipation of this trade show being a sell-out,” says the press release.
It is anticipated that this will attract approximately 50 technology, communications and outside plant suppliers from Canada and the U.S. Western Canadian cable companies, telecommunications providers, sub-contractors and telcos will be invited to attend the seminars and trade show.
Janice Lee, president of JLL & Associates, will host the event.
“Indications from the vendors have been extremely enthusiastic and supportive. We have already had numerous requests to host additional regional trade shows. The Kelowna show will set the standard for events to follow,” said Lee. “We currently have a call out for technical papers to obtain interesting seminar topics. Our industry advisory board offers us invaluable input, ensuring that we deliver information that is timely and valuable as well as a trade show that presents diverse product lines and services.
“Kelowna is the perfect location for a spring show. The Okanagan offers the best climate in Canada, reasonable hotel rates, magnificent golf courses and wine tasting. We have negotiated discounts for area golf courses, wine tours and hotel spa services for those who wish to extend their stay or bring a guest,” she added.
Janice Lee is well known with cable, satellite and telcos across Canada having spent over 20 years in affiliate sales and marketing on the programmers’ side of the broadcasting industry.
