MONTREAL – RDS has launched a new advertising campaign for its RDS2 channel highlighting three major property groups available exclusively on the French-language sports channel.

The campaign invites viewers to conquer the ring with combat sports, conquer the road with motor sports, and conquer the world with international sports and events features.  Four 30 second TV spots (one per property group – ring, road, world – and a generic version) are airing on RDS and Bell Media channels now, and the campaign also includes out-of-home advertising, web banners and print ads in sports magazines and targeted daily papers.

“RDS2 has its own personality and a programming schedule that distinguishes it from other sports channels, including RDS”, said Stéphane Boulay, senior director of marketing and communications at RDS, in the news release.  “As such, in a highly competitive environment, where fans always have more choices, it was important for us to position the channel based on its differentiating features.”
