Bell on Thursday launched its new Fibe TV service in Atlantic Canada, bringing together a variety of live and on-demand content in one place.
Leveraging Google Android technology, the new product “brings together live TV, on-demand shows and movies, plus thousands of apps, voice remote and powerful search,” Bell said in a press release.
That includes more than 500 live channels, on-demand content from over 10,000 apps from the Google Play Store, including the major streaming services, universal search so users can find content from a central location, simultaneously stream on as many devices in home and three while away, cloud recording, and voice functionality and shortcut buttons on the Fibe remote.
“I’m excited that our customers across Atlantic Canada will be able to experience our next generation of Fibe TV service,” Bell’s vice chair of Atlantic, said in a press release. “This home entertainment experience brings together live TV, on-demand shows and movies, plus thousands of apps – making the TV experience even more convenient and interactive.”
