TORONTO – All of Blue Ant Media's channels will air the premiere episode of a new BBC series from the creators of Planet Earth II when the series debuts later this fall.

Presented by Sir David Attenborough, Dynasties follows five of the world’s most celebrated but endangered animals as they do whatever it takes to survive and protect the next generation.  Each episode will focus in on one particular family from each animal species – emperor penguins in the frozen wastes of Antarctica; chimpanzees on the edge of the Sahara in Senegal, West Africa; lions on the savannahs of Kenya’s Masai Mara; painted wolves on the floodplains of the great Zambezi river in Zimbabwe (pictured); and tigers in the jungles of Bandhavgarh, India.

BBC Studios Natural History Unit painstakingly filmed the animal families over four years in a new landmark format, which gives audiences an up-close point of view and understanding of the animals as they play politics, fight battles, make alliances, launch take-overs, battle rivals and win family feuds.

The first episode will premiere in Canada across BBC Earth, Cottage Life, T+E, Love Nature and HIFI.  Subsequent episodes will air Saturday nights, exclusively on BBC Earth.

“We’re strategically positioning the special Canadian premiere of Dynasties to simulcast across five Blue Ant Media channels, as a means of sharing it with the biggest Canadian audience possible,” said Canadian Media president Jamie Schouela, in the news release.  “This highly anticipated TV event is sure to give fans who love BBC’s iconic wildlife series another thrilling experience that they won’t forget.”

Blue Ant Media is offering sales and sponsorship opportunities for brands and advertisers to align with this broadcast event across television and online platforms.
