TORONTO – Blue Ant Media has struck a new strategic relationship with Quebec-based publisher Oboxmedia that will see Blue Ant Media represent and manage advertising sales for that company’s network and its portfolio of brands nationally.

Oboxmedia’s portfolio includes multi-player gaming leader Roblox as well as Rovio Entertainment’s portfolio of Angry Birds apps.  As part of the agreement, Blue Ant Media will also represent Oboxmedia’s French inventory in English Canada, which reaches over 64% of Quebec’s digital audience through publications including Nightlife.ca, HollywoodPQ and Ton Petit Look, as well as more than 30 French publications including Trois fois par jour, Le Cahier and Pratico-Pratiques.

Blue Ant Media said that deal provides it with direct access to 44% of Canada’s digital audience and positions it among the country’s largest digital media companies.  It also expands the company's existing gaming network, which now delivers a combined number of 6 million monthly Canadian views across desktop, mobile and YouTube, many in the 18 to 34 demographic.

“Our strategic alliance with Oboxmedia bolsters Blue Ant Media’s position as a major player in the digital media space,” said EVP of Canadian Networks Jamie Schouela, in the news release.  “The deal significantly increases our reach with highly engaged millennials and gives us a strong foothold in Quebec for brands looking to engage in the French-language market.”

“Blue Ant Media and Oboxmedia are founded on similar values, which is to create highly engaging, multiple-platform content,” added Oboxmedia CEO Erick Vadeboncoeur.  “The deal will help us accelerate our sales with a team that understands how to deliver fully integrated content and media.”
