New Alberta Aboriginal internship program from CanWest

CALGARY – Canwest Global announced today the launch of a paid internship program for Aboriginal students in Alberta. Three internships per year – valued at approximately $10,000 each – are available at Canwest stations in Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge, and Red Deer, Alberta for the next seven years. “Students seeking to begin and further a career in broadcasting will receive a challenging opportunity to work in private television with a four-month paid internship in an area of business that reflects personal interest,” says the company’s press release.
