Netflix to launch new Ricky Gervais series this fall

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIF – Netflix announced today it will debut another new original series this fall called Derek, a dramedy written, directed and executive-produced by British comic Ricky Gervais. Netflix members will have access to all seven 30-minute episodes of the series created by the Emmy and Golden Globe winning Gervais will be available on Sept. 12 at 12:01 a.m. PT. The only exception will be Netflix’s UK members, because the series premiered there on Channel 4 and was recently renewed for a second season.
