Netflix subscribers, revenue, see sharp Q1 increase
LOS GATOS, Calif. – With so much of the world staying home to try and limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus, and of course watching and re-watching movies and TV shows, many expected big numbers from Netflix today as it reported its fiscal 2020 first quarter results, and the company did not disappoint. Revenue shot up almost 28% to US$5.77 billion for the three months ended March 31 and subscribers jumped by 15.8 million in the quarter to nearly 183 million.
