Netflix partners with PBS, offers SVOD series, kids shows, docs

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIF – Netflix announced its latest content deal today with news of a multi-year licensing agreement with PBS Distribution to air a variety of PBS programming to Netflix members in the U.S. and Canada. Starting this fall, Netflix will provide exclusive SVOD (subscription video on demand) access to the PBS murder mystery series The Bletchley Circle from the UK. In 2014, Netflix will also offer exclusive SVOD service of Super Why!, an award-winning PBS Kids preschool series which helps kids build critical literacy skills through storybook adventures.
