Announces contest for Virgin River set visit
NETFLIX TODAY UPDATED Netflix in Your Neighbourhood, its website highlighting Canadian locations that have been used in Netflix films and series making it easier for fans to find and explore them.
Starting today, the site includes five new titles and locations, a Netflix spokesperson told Cartt.ca via email. This includes:
- Single All The Way: Netflix’s first LGBTQ+ holiday film. It stars Michael Urie, Philemon Chambers, Luke Macfarlane and Jennifer Robertson and was filmed in and around Quebec.
- Blown Away: Christmas: The latest in Netflix’s molten hot series. Starring Katherine Gray, a world-renowned Canadian glass blower and Queer Eye’s Bobby Berk, the series was shot in Hamilton.
- The Christmas Chronicles and The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two: These films star Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell and were filmed in Toronto and Vancouver respectively.
- Maid: A dramatic series starring Margaret Qualley, which is based on the best-selling memoir by Stephanie Land. It was shot on Vancouver Island.
“Netflix filming productions stretch from St. John’s, Newfoundland to Vancouver Island, British Columbia and benefit Canadian communities by creating jobs and investments in local businesses while also creating a desire among Netflix members to visit Canada and learn more about our cities, food, wilderness and culture,” the spokesperson said.
In celebration of today’s additions to the site, Netflix Canada is offering fans the chance to win a visit to the Virgin River set in Vancouver. The winner will receive “a stay at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts’ luxury Vancouver properties, courtesy of Fairmont’s loyalty program ALL – Accor Live Limitless (with breakfast included), roundtrip flights to Vancouver, ground transfers and $500 CAD spending money,” the spokesperson explained.
To enter, you need to find a gold gift box icon, which is hidden in a map of one of the five titles added to Netflix in Your Neighbourhood today.
