TORONTO – Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana has named Brandon Lane as producer of development for its library of children’s animated content.
A Daytime Emmy Award nominee and five-time Canadian Comedy Award nominee, Lane served as production executive for Corus Kids on shows including Cupcake & Dino: General Services, Hotel Transylvania: The Series, Esme & Roy, and Inspector Gadget. Prior to joining Corus, he was development executive and associate creative producer at 9 Story Media Group.
In his new role, Lane will be responsible for overseeing the creative vision of certain development properties and producing training programs to elevate the skills of Nelvana’s in-house storytellers.
“We are delighted to welcome Brandon as Development Producer on the Nelvana team,” said Nelvana Enterprises’ head of development Athena Georgaklis, in the announcement. “Given our commanding position within the international kids entertainment space, and our flourishing development slate, this new addition to the team will allow the company to expand production, co-production and partnerships in the year ahead.”
