TORONTO – Corus Entertainment’s animator Nelvana Enterprises is going to provide British Telecommunications with content on BT Vision Download Store, a new service which enables broadband users to download film, television and music to PCs and portable devices, the company said Monday,
From horror to heartache and adventure to art house, broadband users can download a wide range of film, TV and music on BT Vision Download, an online video store. Users can copy items to PCs and portable devices for viewing indoors or on the move.
Viewers will be able to download to own episodes of Nelvana’s animated programming including Franklin the Turtle, Max & Ruby and Maggie and the Ferocious Beast. Nelvana’s products can be purchased starting at ¤1.49 per half-hour episode.
"This venture further strengthens Nelvana Enterprises’ commitment to expand its digital sell-through opportunities internationally," says the press release. It started in September of 2006 with the launch of Treehouse Direct, the first digital video storefront for preschool content in Canada, and more partnerships will be announced in the coming months.
