National Geographic Channel ties global event series ‘Mars’ to new branding


TORONTO – Corus’ National Geographic Channel is gearing up for the worldwide premiere of Mars, a new series on humankind’s first attempt to colonize the red planet.Executive produced by Brian Grazer and Ron Howard and starring Edmonton’s Ben Cotton, the series is tells the story from the vantage point of a fictitious crewed mission to Mars in 2033.  Set both in the future and in the present day, Mars aims to redefine television storytelling by combining feature film-quality scripted drama and visual effects with documentary sequences.The six-part series debuts November 14 at 9:00 PM ET/PT.  Viewers can check out trailers...
