Mystery TV launches revamped visual identity

TORONTO – Mystery TV is looking more suspenseful and less like its parent company in a visual rebrand.

Gone is the logo with the telltale crescent shape that identified the Cat 1 specialty channel as part of CanWest MediaWorks. In its place is what the broadcaster calls “a fresh, contemporized” logo, reminding one of some shifting, suspenseful plot.

The new logo (pictured) better reflects the channel’s contemporary suspense and crime dramas, such as Law & Order Special Victims Unit and Criminal Intent, House, NCIS, and Numb3rs, CanWest says.

“Our refreshed visual identity for Mystery TV reflects the exciting new direction we’ve taken the network over the last year,” said Walter Levitt, SVP Marketing – Television at CanWest MediaWorks. “With the definitive collection of current suspense and crime drama franchises, plus a contemporary and slick new on-air identity, we’re poised to continue the amazing growth of Mystery TV.”

The channel is also launching a new Website later this fall (which will be at www.mysterytv.ca).
