MuchMusic taps Roots for limited-edition clothing line


TORONTO — Bell Media’s MuchMusic announced today it has teamed up with outdoor-lifestyle brand Roots on an exclusive collection of branded clothing that will be available starting Sept. 8 through roots.com.

Featuring Roots kanga hoodies, t-shirts and toques, the limited release features custom-designed artwork by MuchMusic’s own Sadé Powell in collaboration with Verdah Ansari, “who drew inspiration from the Canadian music scene and from the entire all-new lineup of VJs,” reads a press release.

“Two trailblazing Canadian brands in their own right, partnering with the always on point Roots in honour of the refreshed MuchMusic is absolutely worthy of celebration,” said Perry MacDonald, vice-president, advertising sales and partnerships, Bell Media, in the release.

“Having some of our talented and organically cool VJs, Sadé and Verdah, contribute their design-savvy to this high-quality collection has resulted in something that can only be described as authentically MuchMusic.”
