Users will find everything concert-related and get first access to tickets, enter contests to meet artists, browse photos, watch performance videos, and check out Twitter activity from fellow fans. Rogers customers will be able to buy tickets without paying any service charges to Live Nation.
“We’re giving our audience a way to engage with their favourite music like never before,” said Brad Schwartz, senior vice-president and general manager, Much MTV Group, CTV Inc., in the press release.
“With Rogers Presents Much Concerts, fans can experience one-stop shopping for all their music, concert-going, and social engagement needs, allowing music junkies to connect with one another and the music they crave before, during, and after the show.”
The multi-platform re-launch of MuchMusic’s Concert Listings provides “unparalleled accessibility, interactivity, and functionality. By combining broadcast, online, and mobile activity, fans have access to the most effective concert service in the country,” adds the release.
“Powered by urMusic from Rogers, fans can hit up the site before the concert to search for shows, map venue locations, and purchase tickets seamlessly. Missed the show? Much Concerts localizes searches to provide a crowd-sourced “snapshot” and search Twitter buzz, YouTube videos, and soon Flickr photos, all specific to the event. On the go? The service is also optimized for mobile phones enabling fans to view chats, pics, and videos while at a show. Rogers customer? Get unbeatable ticket prices on hundreds of Live Nation events, free of service charges,” it continues.
"We are very excited to offer our customers exclusive access to some of the hottest live music performances, and extend valuable savings by covering the ticket service charges on hundreds of Live Nation shows, all of which can be accessed right from your phone,” added Robyn Walters, director, music, portal and content, Rogers Wireless.
