MTV hires CTV's Brent Haynes as SVP

NEW YORK and TORONTO - The man responsible for a lot of the successful programming on The Comedy Network is leaving Toronto for New York. MTV’s Liz Gateley, senior vice-president, series development, announced today that Brent Haynes has been hired as SVP of series development, East Coast. In this newly-created position, Haynes will report directly to Gateley, and will be based in MTV’s New York office. Haynes, formerly VP of The Comedy Network, will be responsible for overseeing development and production coming out of the east coast office.
