TORONTO – MTS Allstream chief information officer, Nick Curry, has been named this year’s top CIO by Canadian Business magazine.
Curry received the "Top in Technology Award", given to the country’s best CIO, at Canadian Business magazine’s annual Leadership Forum and is featured in the Rogers Media publication’s fifth annual All-Star Execs issue. The All-Star Execs list is a unique and prestigious program based on months of statistical research and interviews conducted by the writers and editors at Canadian Business magazine.
As CIO, Curry is responsible for all aspects of internal IT service operations, system applications and business process transformation functions for MTS Allstream and its divisions – Enterprise Solutions and Consumer Markets.
"In an industry that is evolving rapidly and driven by changing technology, Nick provides key leadership for MTS Allstream, ensuring that we develop and constantly improve internal and external technologies that support our customers and maintain our position as a leading innovator amongst Canadian telecoms," said MTS Allstream CEO Pierre Blouin.
Curry has over 25 years of information technology expertise. Before joining MTS Allstream in 2001, he was CIO at Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba and Great-West Life – Canada Division.
