TORONTO – MTS has been awarded half of a million dollars worth of contracts from the Newfoundland and Labrador government.
Projects will include the construction of a secure socket layer virtual private network to provide security, access control, and threat prevention for use by remote workers to securely access corporate networks, the press release said.
Other project services that MTS will provide are project coordination, management and communication during a business and system requirement review for a new jury duty system; a business and technical review of existing file transfer systems; a mobile data project; a review of functional specifications on a telephone directory project; and conduct a business and system requirements review to deliver a forms automation scalable solution.

"We are pleased to provide teams that will enhance projects and provide guidance during critical implementations of new technology. Noteably, the VPN project, which will eliminate the need for client-software deployment, changes to internal servers and the high cost of maintenance and desktop support."
MTS will work in partnership with Plato Consulting, Infotech Solutions, and Tamarack Technologies on the projects.
