WINNIPEG – MTS is building a new $50-million commercial, multi-tenant data centre in Manitoba which will allow it to offer server colocation, managed hosting and cloud services.
Construction of the new data centre is scheduled to begin next year and is expected to be completed in 2015. The new facility will be approximately 70,000 square feet, designed to meet the highest industry standards in security and reliability, and qualify for Uptime Institute's Tier III certification. It will be the only custom-built commercial data centre of this size in the province, enabling customers to securely host IT equipment.
